This training will be an extension of the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) Training and will consider functional assessment for private events and mental health needs of students in school settings. Participants will be provided training on the Behavior Analytic Problem Solving (BAPS) Model (Steege & Watson, 2009) in analyzing the complex array of variables that influence and reinforce disruptive behaviors. Participants will practice and apply training content to a case example and share with other participants through “mini presentations” to enhance professional development and receive feedback in a collaborative format.
