Transitioning to Iowa Core Mathematics Grades 3-5 Operations Part 1


This course is Part 1 of a two part series. This course will introduce educators to the Number and Operations in Base Ten and Operations and Algebraic Thinking Domains of the Iowa Core Mathematics for grades 3-5. Educators will be immersed in the content as learners and develop skill in identifying student misconceptions and providing conceptual experiences to build understanding in these domains.

Please Note: Some work and course materials are stored online so teachers should bring their laptops. A math binder/notebook is required for this class to hold all materials. Educators should be familiar with the Standards for Mathematical Practices before beginning this course.

You will need the following book for the course. It is not provided in the cost of the course:
