The AEA Leadership Team Supervision and Evaluation course is designed to teach AEA administrators how the new AEA supervision and evaluation program fits with the Iowa Evaluator training that all administrators have to take. AEA administrators will be expected to develop an evaluation schedule following the deadlines set by the Department of Education. AEA administrators will videotape an entire evaluation process, give and receive feedback from colleagues and course instructors. Coaching skills will be emphasized as a way of improving staff skills in order to improve services provided to schools. Staff will practice these skills when giving feedback to colleagues and when working with the staff they supervise.
