Exploring Points of View through Drama; Walking in Another’s Shoes
Audience: Teachers of grades 5-12
This interactive workshop will guide teachers in helping students to recognize the variety of perspectives when analyzing events and literature. It will further participants’ ability to guide students in analyzing characters and situations. By enacting texts, sketching and journaling, participants will explore different points of view on the same event, expand their empathy for others, and improve literacy instruction. This workshop will use the book TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
