Target Audience: K-12 Teachers and Administrators

This workshop series will use the framework of Stiggins, Arter, Chappuis and Chappuis to develop greater use of the purposes, targets, methods, communication, and student involvement of classroom assessment.

Participants will analyze formative and summative assessments for a unit of instruction.

Participants will recieve a copy of the book Classroom Assessment for Student Learning by Rick Stiggins, Judith Arter, Stephen Chappuis, and Jan Chappuis.

This workshop series supports the county-wide initiative on Data Management/Warehousing.

Audience: Gr. K-12 educators

This workshop focuses on the uses of grading and reporting in a standards-based learning environment.

Participants will learn how to “fix” grading and reporting problems leading to a clearer picture about student achievement. Participants will also report on the changes that they have made with their classroom or building grading and reporting systems.

Participants are expected to attend all three sessions.
