Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM): Setting up a district process for AIM
Description:
This webinar training is designed for distrit Competent Authority designees, AIM District Contacts, or Coordinators assigned to oversee AIM procedures in the district. This session will serve as an example to show how a district set up their process for AIM ordering, eligibility, and delivery of AIM. The presenter is the Jefferson Parish AIM Competent Authority for that district. She will address the tasks of the Competent Authority, responsibility of the IEP teams and procedures for requesting and reporting AIM. She will also describe the use of the forms that she developed for use in Jefferson. The Jefferson model is not a state mandated model, but serves to provide a district prospective and reference. Each district/LEA is responsible for determining the process best for the size and population of students they serve. Handouts and forms can be found on the LA AIM website at www.atanswers.com/aim - PD Tab, AIM District Process - Webinar.
Participants are required to download their own handouts and forms that will be referenced during the webinar. Once registered, you will be provided with information to link to the webinar and log in.
