January 18 - February 12, 2010. Purpose of the INTRODUCTION to the Overview of the Functions of a Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisor in a School System -
The Child Welfare and Attendance module emphasizes the duties of a school district´s Child Welfare and Attendance supervisor and the functions of state and local child welfare agencies. The study and solution of student attendance and adjustment related problems as well as school and community efforts to benefit student development will be reviewed. Identifying effective programs and services to meet the changing needs of school systems in the areas of school attendance, parental involvement, school and community relations, and legal witnessing are vital objectives of Child Welfare and Attendance.
