Effective Group Management-Going Beyond Rules and Procedures
What teacher behaviors distinguish effective classroom managers from less effective managers? Research has shown that Effective Group Management is not maintained solely by establishing rules and procedures. A combination of instructional considerations (lesson design) and managerial considerations (in-class teacher behaviors) must also be included. What do effective teacher managers do to keep students actively involved, accountable, and prevent boredom? What are the strategies of effective teacher managers who minimize student misbehavior? Come to this workshop for some answers and ideas. (AFT ER&D workshop) Audience: Teachers; Administrators pK-12
