Introduction to Thinking Math I (TMI)

This will be an introduction to TMI. Participants will be introduced to the Ten Principles of the Thinking Math approach to teaching mathematics. Participants will also see where TM is consistent with the teaching of Investigations. Through this workshop teachers will begin to examine current research and best practices for delivering mathematics instruction. Future TMI workshops will build on understanding of the additive structure of numbers, and how to think, reason and communicate mathematically.
