12 Hour Building Respectful Classroom-Middle School

The Responsive Classroom approached to teaching and learning fosters safe, challenging, and joyful classrooms and schools, K-8. This approach consists of practical strategies for bringing together social and academic learning throughout the school day. Components of the program included in this upcoming set of workshops include:
Morning Meetings (greeting, sharing, activity, news and announcements
Rules and logical consequences
Social conferencing
Classroom organization
Introduction to the first 6 weeks of school outcomes:
Increased social skills and academic engagement
Establishes positive classroom climate
Increases learner investment and interdependence
Decreases disruptive behaviors
