Grading Practices for Today

This 3+ session course will offer research-based practices and perspectives about grading in high schools and middle schools according to Thomas Guskey and other quality researchers. Participants will learn various grading practices, how they relate to reporting student learning, and work towards updating their current grading policies. The three sessions will be informational, hands on, and an opportunity for administrators to deepen their expertise on grading practices. One additional on-site meeting in the administrator’s school will follow the last class to promote and support the change of grading practices at the building level.
