           Classroom Management the ´Wong´ Way
So, how did last semester go? Would you like to start the next semester with some new strategies in place for rules, routines, and procedures? This course will combine theory from Harry Wong and the wonders of PowerPoint and Word to create documents and presentations that will assist in implementing classroom management theory. You will leave with ample resources to use in your classroom. No previous skills necessary.

Digital Storytelling is a great way to let students write and produce their own stories using technology. Learn the process needed to have your students create wonderful stories with a variety of software already available to you, including PowerPoint, Windows Movie Maker, and Photostory 3.

           Enhancing Unit Plans with Technology 1
New to technology? Or do you have new technology, like a Smart Board? Or would you like to add some technology to your lesson plans? This class will focus on developing unit and lesson plans that allow you to integrate technology into your classroom. Instructors will guide you to resources and help you create technology-rich lessons that will enhance your units and incorporate Michigan Standards and Benchmarks, Assessment and Differentiated Instruction. Some online seat time is required to earn SB-CEUs and/or graduate credit. This session runs concurrently with Enhancing Unit Plans 2.

This class continues to focus on developing more unit and lesson plans that allow you to integrate technology into your classroom. Instructors will guide you to resources and help you build more technology-rich lessons that will enhance your units, and incorporate Michigan Standards and Benchmarks, Assessments, and Differentiated Instruction. This session runs concurrently with Enhancing Unit Plans 1.
           Global Information Systems (GIS) [A]
GIS can help K-12 educators with topics as varied as Geography, Environmental Studies, History, and Economic. GIS technology can be used in the classroom to help students of all levels understand the world around them. This technology also helps students and teachers engage in studies that promote critical thinking and integrated learning. Software and data do not contain or present ‘the’ answer, but help students define answers according to the questions they ask and the parameters they establish. GIS provides the capacity to view complex patterns and to understand better the world we live in through exploration.
           Instructional Games and Activities using PowerPoint
An excellent class for the novice technology user, this course will explore how to create games and activities to use in your classroom. You will have the opportunity and time to create you own to use, as well as find already created resources. No previous skills necessary. Some online seat time is required to earn SB-CEUs and/or graduate credit.
           Microsoft PowerPoint 1
Learn to create slides and use graphics to produce professional looking PowerPoint presentations. Good skill building for beginners and great ideas on how to use PowerPoint for all!
           Microsoft PowerPoint 2
This workshop is a continuation of the PowerPoint classes. In PowerPoint2, you will build on the skills you’ve already learned. Topics covered are: hyper-linking, animation, inserting movies and sound.
           Podcasting
A podcast is a digital audio or audio-and-video file that can be played and accessed through the Internet. Learn how to create and use podcasting in your classroom with free software available to you. This new trend is easy to learn and can enrich classroom experiences. . Some online seat time is required to earn SB-CEUs and/or graduate credit.
           United Streaming 1 [A]
Discover the potential in this on-line movie and image resource. Spend time researching the database and come away with content and lesson plans to integrate into your curriculum. United Streaming is purchased through your school district, make sure it is available to you in your classroom. This session runs concurrently with United Streaming 2.
           United Streaming 2 [A]
This is a continuation of the United Streaming 1 course. Teachers who already know the potential will have time to further research the database and come away with more content and lesson plans for their classrooms. United Streaming is purchased through your school district, so make sure it is available to you in your classroom. The session runs concurrently with United Streaming 1.
           Web Design for Educators 1 (Dreamweaver)
This course will introduce professional web design techniques to teachers so they may create their own web site using Adobe Dreamweaver software. Teachers will learn to create a web site that will motivate students, increase communication with parents, and will integrate technology into the educators’ total curriculum. Educators taking this course must have basic computer literacy. This course runs concurrently with Web Design for Educators 2.
           Web Design for Educators 2 (Dreamweaver)
This is a continuation of Web Design for Educators 1. This course will assist teachers in developing professional web design techniques in order to add to their own web site using Adobe Dreamweaver software. Teachers will embellish their already created web site so that it will motivate students, increase communication with parents, and will integrate technology into the educators’ total curriculum. Educators taking this course must have taken WebDesign for Educators 1. This course runs concurrently with Web Design for Educators 1 . Some online seat time is required to earn SB-CEUs and/or graduate credit.
           WebQuest [A]
Whether there is one computer in your classroom or a full lab, if you have internet connection, you can build a web quest to enrich, enhance, and remediate your students’ learning. No previous skills necessary.
