Using Professional Learning Communities to Improve Teaching and Learning
Session: 5977 This workshop is for school administrators. Participants will design and implement professional learning communities in their buildings. They will be expected to: review and analyze best practices for teaching and learning; review available school data; choose most appropriate best practice; and implement/evaluate effectiveness of the chosen best practice. Participants will be expected to create an ongoing professional portfolio that demonstrates clear evidence of the completion of designing/implementing a Professional Learning Community; sharing protocol for instructional practices; create focus on best practices in the classroom; and design professional workshops. In an attempt to make it convenient for you, each session has two dates choices. (e.g. Session 1 is either November 20 or November 23; Session 2 is either January 7 or January 8, etc). Pick one date per session. After you register, you must call or email Toni Darby at darbyt@iu1.k12.pa.us or 724-938-3241 ext. 238 and tell her which dates you will be attending so that we have a count for each session for meals etc. |
