Bioinformatics in Genetics
This workshop is for teachers in grades 9 - 12.

This workshop is a Biological Sciences Curriculum Study(BSCS) supplement for high school biology classes to help understand how and why computers are essential for analyzing the data produced by the Human Genome Project. You will be introduced to some of the most common bioinformatics methods for improved understanding of our genetic diversity, along with raising some issues associated with establishing and using genetic databases. An electronic and printed copy of the Bioinformatics workbook will be provided.
