This induction requirement will review the TEAL Year 1 information and provide extensive practice, observation and discussion around additional evidence based reading strategies that engage student learning and while promoting a safe and engaging learning environment. Co-teaching arrangements between special education teachers and general education teachers is a great strategy for effective inclusion of students with special needs. However, simply assigning two teachers to one classroom is not sufficient for ensuring effectiveness. Preparation, coplanning, and trust are also necessary and professional development is beneficial. This workshop will help participants identify and use effective co-teaching strategies. Inductees - you are to attend this workshop with your mentor. |
