Beginning Sign Language class using Signing Exact English. Participants will learn new signs every week and are responsible for practicing material. Participants are expected to attend all classes as vocabulary and content is cumulative with each week of class. Copies of signs learned will be provided. Open to teachers, staff, parents and community members. There is a fee required of $10 for IISD staff and $20 for community members.

The Second District Diversity Module, Different Understandings, Different Approaches: Our Community, will examine diversity in such a way that will help individuals recognize their differences and appreciate the collective of wonderfully diverse backgrounds that makeup our district and community. Bring a spiral notebook and if you have one a laptop computer.

This workshop is for teachers newly hired who have not had the 6 hour required training on the PDAS evaluation instrument.

Learn techniques to effectively respond to and overcome stress. Participants will learn breathing exercises, positive reinforcement, journaling and other stress management techniques. Learn a healthy approach to managing the stress in your life. Presenter: Patricia Marez - BCBS
