Technology (Su09): Copyright in the Digital Age - 859-932
Increased access to information and digital resources has brought about new challenges to complying with copyright law. The Internet has made copyright especially complicated to figure out because it is so easy to copy information, pictures, music, and other forms of multimedia, regardless of whether it is legal or not. These online resources are often a valuable part of the learning experience. So, there is confusion on the part of both teachers and students about copyright law and Fair Use allowances. This session will explore some of the most pressing issues concerning intellectual property and provide proactive strategies that will lead to copyright compliance in the classroom.
