Based on the GCS Formative ASsessment program on Assessment for Learning, SWHS faculty will delve into training models on assessments for learning and assessment of learning working with and developing "power" standards, developing common standards of assessment and evaluations of assessments within PLCS; empowering students in the assessmsent process to increase learning; examining the 100 point system, the effect of zeros, and the effect of averaging grades to arrive at final grades. Formative and summative assessments will be examined for their design and function.
