Specific areas that will be covered include physical management, confidentiality, IEP/504, compliance, communication, and maintaining accurate documentation. Particular attention will be given to behavior management strategies and the ability to employ learned strategies as necessary to deescalate behaviors in order to protect the student or others from injury.

A variety of prepared documents will be explored and edited. Each participant will develop and maintain a course portfolio containing evidences of learning and application as the course progresses.

Description: will learn how to effectively use the QRI assessment to drive instruction and develop interventions for students. They will learn how to connect and integrate reading and writing into their daily instruction (learning logs, content prompts, and journals). Description: Through collaboration with Guilford College, The Early College at Guilford will utilize Aurolog’s Tell Me More language learning program in the Guilford College Language Lab for professional development for selected faculty. The program is a language acquisition program designed to meet the needs of secondary language learners at all levels up to and including fluent speakers of a World Language. Teachers will follow a preset path based on their current knowledge base and their goals. For instance, a World Language Teacher will follow an advanced plan while a teacher or administrator seeking basic knowledge of a secondary language may use the Complete Beginner path.
