Description:
Teachers will lean strategies to incorporate children’s literature and reading strategies in their art lesson plans. Examples of literacy driven art lessons will be developed and shared in the sessions. As well as opportunities to create a make-it and take-it lesson for more advanced activities.



Target Audience:
Elementary Art Teachers interested in learning about using art as a tool for teaching literature and reading skills.



Learner Outcomes:
To earn 1.0 Reading CEU. Implement regular use of literature in art lessons. To explore literature as a reading tool and a medium for art. Teachers will leave with examples of how to incorporate literature and reading skills into art.

None.
