Description:
This course will address school leadership and the promotion of success of all students, developing leadership capacity in principals of the Northern Region through a focus on the Guilford County Schools Strategic Plan. Topics will include all areas of the Strategic Plan: Area I-Improving Academic Achievement, Area II- Supportive Family and community Involvement, Area III-Strategic Human Resource Management, Area IV-Respectful and Responsive Service, Area V-Safe Schools and Character Development, Area VI-Optimal Operations, Area VII- Transformational Technology, and Area VIII-Clear Baseline and Equitable Standards.
Target Audience:
Elementary, middle, and high school principals of the GCS Northern Region.
Learner Outcomes:
Learners will effectively implement strategies for each of the eight areas of the GCS Strategic Plan.
Prerequisite:
Participants must be principals in the Nothern Region.
