Description:
Media specialists who are new to the profession or new to GCS will focus on information related to the three areas of the MCPAI: Teaching & Learning, Information Access & Delivery, and Program Administration. Buddy Mentors will actively support new media specialists as they transition into their new roles through one-on-one visits, group meetings, email, and phone calls. They will share ideas and information and provide support in a way that meets the needs of the mentees.
Target Audience:
Media Specialists who are new to the profession or new to GCS and selected GCS media specialists who will be buddy mentors.
Learner Outcomes:
As a result of the workshop, new media specialists will be familiar with GCS policies, procedures, and expectations related to their new positions. Buddy Mentors will strengthen leadership skills and develop effective strategies of support as they work with novice and new GCS media specialists.

None.
