DIBELS Training - November 2009
The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) is a set of standardized, individually administered measures of early literacy development. They are designed to be short (one minute) fluency measures used to regularly monitor the development of
pre-reading and early reading skills. DIBELS is one piece of an assessment plan, working with curriculum, instruction, a literacy environment, and other resources to bring about student success.
This all-day workshop is intended for teachers, literacy coaches, and administrators and will provide you with DIBELS background and instructions in administering each assessment.
