This hands-on workshop provides edcucators a new look at the possibilities of video and the production process in their classroom. Participants will team up with other memebers of the workshop to create, shott and edit their own video using Microsoft Movie Maker. Participatns should bring a digital video camera if they have one to the session.

This course will provide you with an overview of DE Streaming and the many resources that are available to you and your students. During this training you will learn how to: - Search the collection using a variety of search tools - Stream, download, hyperlink, and embed DE Streaming video clips - Explore and learn about all the Builder Tools and the Teacher Center

This course will cover how to enhance your PowerPoints by embedding them into your presentations as hyperlinks. This course will also show you how to edit Discovery Education video clips with Windows Movie Maker.

Session will include multiple instructional examples of how Google Earth can be integrated into multiple grade levels and subjects. Geo-browsing, Google Earth authoring and collaboation will be addressed in this GEO-Adventure.

Bring your students´ writing imagination alive with Geo-Tagging & Writing. That´s right; this session will introduce you to Google Earth as a tool for publishing student writing and projects. Learn how to use Google Earth to stimulate your students´ imagination and excitement for writing. This session will use Google´s Picasa and Google Earth to create a variety of writing projects.

Wondering how this virtual globe thing can be used to enhance your math instruction? Google Earth is a great tool for teaching a variety of mathematical concepts (measurements, estimation, line graphs and volume) all grounded in real world applications. This session will explore the use of Google Earth as a tool to teach mathematical concepts and also develop the skills of the participants to author their own Google Earth Lessons.

This session will take place through an Adobe Connect Webinar and discuss the product enhancements for version 1.79. You will receive the webinar information via email no later than 24 hours before the webinar takes place.

This is a hands on workshop that focuses on using two-way interactive ITV equipment at your high school, middle school or elementary school for professional development videoconferences, local collaborations and virtual field trips. A great follow up to "mastering" ITV equipment controls. Items that will be discussed are: videoconferencing for beginners, setting up and registering for collaborative videoconferences and virtual field trips, where to find FREE collaborative videoconferences and virtual field trips from providers and exploring videoconference data bases and locating content for events and programs related to curriculum, and participate in a READ virtual field trip, FREE of charge!
