Michigan Model for Health® Event for Grades 7-12, Regional
Audience:
All seventh-eighth grade Teachers

Course Narrative:
The Regional Health Training group is trying something new this year. This workshop will focus on all the ninth through twelfth grade health themes in the Michigan Model, including the Tobacco Module, Nutrition, Physical Activity, Substance Abuse, Violence, and more.

Course Objective:
Participants will:

  • Connect the implementation of school health education to Michigan’s Health Education Content Standards and Grade Level Expectations.
  • Create an understanding of philosophy and goals of the Michigan Model.
  • Develop a comfort level for using the curriculum manual.
  • Disseminate current and accurate health content knowledge.
  • Preview instructional materials used in the curriculum.

  • It´s Time to Move

  • What´s Food Got To Do With It?
