New Teacher Program
As a new teacher, you bring many qualities to your classroom and school - a fresh outlook, new energy, and lots of ideas. At the same time, you may be wondering about the realities of day-to-day teaching, working with other teachers in the building, best strategies to use for discipline problems and understanding all of the new curriculum expectations and the focus on student achievement.
In this New Teacher program, you will meet other new teachers joining the staffs of Gratiot and Isabella county schools to begin the Fall 2009 school year. Together we will explore the topics that all new teachers need to know! In addition, you will meet the requirements for new teachers set forth by the Michigan Department of Education for five days of professional development above and beyond what your district offers.
