Assessment Literate: Teachers, Classrooms, Buildings
This workshop is being held at Clinton County RESA, St. Johns.
This series is designed to provide the foundational knowledge teachers and administrators need to understand what a balanced system is, including:
~The role and purpose of assessment FOR learning
~Understanding the proper balance of formative and summative measure
~An overview of the five keys to quality assessment practice
Participants will also dedicate time during the school year for:
~Designing and using common assessments
~Focusing on the purpose of the assessment
~Identifying learning targets
~Aligning the learning target and the assessment method
~Developing an awareness of sampling procedures
~Designing the assessment in a manner to guard against bias
