Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention is based on the principle that all people have the right to be treated withi dignity and respect. It is a systematic training program designed to help reduce the potential for verbal and physical struggles and to respond to students´ nonverbal clues. The workshop presents a system of alternatives for managing students by using nonviolent crisis intervention techniques designed to reduce injury to all the participants in an encounter. Participation on all days of training will lead to certification by the Crisis Prevention Iinstitute, Inc. Certification is valid for multiple years when coupled with refresher course work.
