CPI Refresher Course (BCIU Staff Only)

The workshop, provided under the auspices of Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc., is designed for staff working with students who exhibit extremely challenging behavior. The presenters are Crisis Prevention Institute certified instructors.

The refresher workshop will build on the foundation you received during initial training. The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training should be viewed as an ongoing process. Objectives of the refresher workshop are:

  • To develop a greater understanding of course concepts.
  • To problem solve and strengthen crisis intervention skills.
  • To receive additional supporting information.
  • To demonstrate ability and confidence in applying course content and skills to real-life work experiences.

    To register for this workshop, participants must have taken initial CPI training within one year.

    Participants should dress casually and wear comfortable but closed-toe shoes.
