Managing Chronic Illness and Disabilities from Womb to Tomb [A]
Living with chronic illness or disability affects everyone - the person experiencing the illness or disability, family members, friends, and other supports, including educators. While there are many differences based on the nature of the illness or disability, the age of the person, family structure, supports system, etc., the bottom line is that illness and disability are part of the human condition; we are more similar than different, and thus respond - or react - to stressors in a similar way. Dr. Brownsberger and Dr. Dudley will discuss how to effectively communicate to ensure basic needs are met, effectively manage stress associated with illness and disability, and enhance quality of life.

Then, as technology specialist at Willowdale Elementary, Tony brought the newest technologies into classrooms. Whether it was digital video, blogs, email, podcasts, or handhelds, Tony helped Willowdale teachers and students understand the usefulness of new technologies. Currently, Tony is self-employed as an education consultant. He conducts workshops, presents at conferences, and writes books based on his teaching experiences and passion for new technologies.
