Events listed with a little [A] next to their titles have available sessions that you can register for. Events marked as "New" have been added to the catalog in the current month.

Winter Weather Workshop Notice: If you are planning on attending a workshop at the BCIU but are not sure whether it will be held due to inclement weather, please call 215-348 -2940 to hear a recorded list of all cancellations for the day. When possible, we will also attempt to alert participants using email via coursewhere.

PPID (Professional Personal Identification Number) - A 7 digit number that was issued by the PA Department of Education in July of 2006 to replace the use of your social security number as identification. You must go to the PDE website to get this number. While this ID is optional at this time, it will be required in the near future. You must have this number for your Act 48 hours to be reported to PDE.

To get your PPID: Go to the PDE website - http:// www.pde.state.pa.us
Click on “Act 48 Reporting System”
Click “Get your Professional Personal ID”
Fill out the required information
Click in the box marked “Get Professional Personal ID

Write this number down and when you register for a workshop at this site, you will need to enter that PPID number (one time only) in your profile information.

PARKING: When attending any event held at the Intermediate Unit, NO parking is permitted at the Georgetown Commons nor at the Senior Citizens Center located across the street from the IU.

The BCIU now accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover as forms of payment for selected professional development events.

We use state-of-the-art data encryption to ensure that your credit card information remains secure in transmission to our bank. Your card is charged at the time of registration and then the card information is discarded. Your credit card information is never stored on our systems.
