Audience:
School social workers, psychologist, special education and general education teachers
Course Narrative:
Utilizing anchor tasks and front-brain stimulating activities to optimize front brain stimulation (thinking region of the brain), participants will develop basic knowledge on how the brain learns, retains and recalls information and gain an understanding of how specific region of how the brain affects learning and behavior. e.g., cognitive and intellectual processing, social skills, problem solving skills, emotional regulation, and the ability to adapt to stressful and difficult situations.
Course Objectives:
Participants will:
- gain recent brain research on Autism, ADHD, Learning Differences, Emotional and Psychiatric Disorders.
- learn to use a brain-compatible behavior support plans in school and community settings.
- complete the form using a focused student using a different name to insure student confidentiality.
