Seat Time Waiver Workshop

Superintendents, High School Principals, Counselors, Administrative Secretaries

Course Narrative:
Bay-Arenac ISD and Iosco RESA are partnering with Genesee ISD to follow the existing GenNET model implemented in Genesee County to serve its constituent districts. This endorsed “virtual education program” is considered an approved alternative education program that allows students, with the guidance of a certified teacher mentor, to take up to 100% of their course work online and/or off site. Superintendent Flanagan extended this opportunity to all ISDs in Michigan, effective school year 2009-2010, in partnership with Genesee ISD, through its existing Seat Time Waiver extension.
