Audience: Educators Grades 3-5
Course Narrative:
Participants will meet in monthly sessions designed to increase their knowledge about the impact of a strong writing program in their school. Research and best practices, including the work of Lucy Calkins, will be covered. Guided reading and discussion of the book "Teaching the Qualities of Writing," by Ralph Fletcher will be included. Series is available for 3 graduate credits and SB-CEUs. Instructor is Deonna Montei, Literacy Consultants LLC. Network with other colleagues and strengthen your students´ skills in writing

Participants will learn the foundation of implementing a coherent writing program for grades 3-5.
