Teens, Technology & Trouble II 3/4/2010

Course Narrative:
Teen’s use of technology has grown exponentially over the past 10 years. Most teens use technology appropriately. However, many teens put themselves at risk when they share private information with contacts they make on the internet. Predators are savvy at seeking out youth to connect with and can easily trick a teen into giving away information that should remain private. Dr. David Hall will address issues related to teen’s use of technology and explore teen impulsiveness, cell phone texting, online networking (Facebook/Myspace), cyberbullying, and more.

Outcomes:
Participants will understand:

  • the traps teens fall into when using technology.
