Audience:
Any teacher responsible for teaching HIV/AIDS education
Course Narrative:
HIV/AIDS education is required in Michigan. This workshop will also meet the state requirement that any teacher engaged in HIV/AIDS education must receive training.Topics will include the law, effective curriculum, and hands on activities.
Course Objectives:
4-12 AIDS Certification Training focuses on:
- Science of AIDS transmission
- Exploring attitudes necessary for teaching AIDS
- Skills for answering students´ sensitive questions
- Classroom discussion tips
- Curriculum scope and sequence for AIDS Education
