Target Audience
Certified Teachers with SMART Boards
In this course participants will gain a knowledge base of what skills our 21st century learners need to have to survive in today´s classrooms. Participants will learn how to effectively create interactive lessons using the Notebook software. In ten hours of part A they will learn the basics of the notebook software tools and access lessons from SMART Exchange database. In ten hours of part B, participants learn advanced skills such as the SMART recorder, floating toolbar, Lesson Activity toolkit, attachments, dual page/pin page, attachments. Assessment tips and tricks with the SMART response software will include how to create formative assessments and use the reporting functions.
Participants will:
• work with Notebook software as an interactive classroom presentation tool
• create innovative lessons for classroom use in Notebook software
• collaborate with others to discuss articles centered around 21st century learning
• download pre-made Notebook lessons provided by Smart´s website for classroom use

Software basics- Toolbar
Create pages with hyperlinks to sound, websites, videos |
Simple lesson creation 3-5 slides
Intro template page tied to CDE Content standards
page 2 brainstorming using hide reveal technique
page 3 link to website or video for more learning
