DESCRIPTION:
IB MYP teachers will look at MYP assessments with a focus on instructional pratices that will prepare students for their future in the 21st Century. Participants will be challenged to re-think their attitudes on how we use assessment and question how students react to current assessment practices and how they might react if we change said practices.
LEARNER OBJECTIVES:

- recognize how MYP objectives correlate to assessment criteria,
- compare MYP objectives and Assessment Criteria with current educational research and best practice,
- and identify and explain aspects of effective MYP assessment tasks.
STRATEGIES & ACTIVITIES:
Participants will . . . .

"unpack" objectives and assessment criteria to determine appropriate knowledge, skills and understanding for their subject area and level, and
- develop an appropriate assessment task for specified objectives using correlating assessment criteria.
