Leadership for Results by Support Staff (LFR-SS) SERIES is a systematic approach to leadership development from the ground up. Until people take action, goals and strategies are nothing but words. Results come from individuals, equipped with the right skills, energized to do the right activities at the right time. People deliver results…

Leadership for Results by Support Staff (LFR-SS) training can help every employee in all stages of their work:

  • Contribute and communicate effectively
  • Feel valued and capable in their jobs
  • Build collaboration, personal initiative and trust
  • Develop their ability to manage situations
  • Understand their role in the big picture of organizational success

LFR-SS: Speaking to Influence Others

Course participants will learn speaking techniques and strategies that achieve results by gaining the attention, ensuring the understanding, and influencing the actions of other people. While new technologies provide a variety of ways to quickly share information with others, there is still no substitute for speaking when trying to sell an idea, make a point, or persuade others to take action. Speaking clearly, concisely, and convincingly is especially important in today’s fast-paced work environment, where people are continually bombarded with competing requests for their attention. This class shows participants how to organize and deliver one’s ideas to get results in such an environment.

Participants will learn how to:
  • Organize their thoughts with a focus on addressing the needs of listeners and achieving objectives.
  • Encourage desired action by delivering their messages clearly and concisely.
  • Handle resistance by responding to listeners’ ideas, opinions, and concerns.
  • Ensure that ideas are acted on by developing concrete follow-up plans.
  • Share ideas for workplace improvements and innovations geared toward better results.
  • This course is designed for SUPPORT STAFF.
