TARGET AUDIENCE:
Flagstone Elementary Teachers
DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate teachers will read, reflect upon, and discuss Still Learning to Read and Day to Day Assessment in the Reading Workshop by Franki Sibberson and karen Szymusiak.
Course Info:
The study group will support teachers in their first three years of teaching reading to intermediate grade students as well as challenging more experienced teachers´ practice with transitional readers.
Learners will participate in 10 hours of face to face discussions. Participants will also be responsible for responding on-line by writing 10 reflections on our study group site. Time spent on reflections will a minimum of five hours. Participants who are off-track during the scheduled morning meetings at school will make up their time by doing additional on-line reflections and responses.
