Computer Fundamentals provides participants with primary skills and working knowledge of computers. The single platform delivery of instruction allows the learner to concentrate on one system type at a time.
  • Please choose this course if your computer at work is an Apple Macintosh (MAC) computer.
  • This training is the groundwork of computer skills and techniques that aid in job productivity and help learners gain confidence in working with computers.

Audience Definition:

  • This course is designed for DCSD learners with minimal computer skills and experience.
  • DCSD employees wishing to review basic computer skill sets or to improve upon and make current computer use more efficient are welcomed.

    • Internet Beginnings & E-Mail Access

      The objectives for this course include
      • Helping Learners feel comfortable and confident using a computer
      • Introduce Learners to the “Language of Computers” (e.g., Proper terminology for parts of computer systems)
      • Rounding out and further development of existing knowledge and basic skills
      • Provide a solid foundation for future technology learning
      • Introduce DCSD employees to use of “Home folders”, DCSD E-Mail and District Technology Policies.
