Great Body Shop Training for Educators

Target Audience - Certified Teachers

The Great Body Shop is an integrated health education program for students grades K-6 supporting balanced literacy. This course will equip teachers to implement this program in their classroom.

Participants will:

Identify and locate the scope and sequence of THE GREAT BODY SHOP

Explain the program mechanics of THE GREAT BODY SHOP

Participate in lessons and activities from THE GREAT BODY SHOP

Explain and demonstrate components of the curriculum

Explain process and procedures related to website

Explain approach to fostering coordinated school health

Identify optional sections for sensitive issues

Analyze methods for integrating literacy into the program

Customize training and technical assistance for individual school district
