Certified Instructional Hours=	18 Hours
CDE Re-Licensure Credit =	1 Credit
Knowledge Level Advancement =	1 Credit

TARGET AUDIENCE:: Certified teachers who teach World Languages.

This course will be taught in 5 three hour segments, and is designed for both certified and classified teachers of all world languages at all levels offered in DCSD:
1. Methodology (literacy, immersion strategies and TPRS)
2. Standards-based lesson planning, using the new state standards.
3. Technology in the World Language Classroom
4. Assessment in the World Language Classroom
Demonstration Lessons

The goal for this course is for participants to develop and present/teach an integrated lesson (with an assessment and embedded technology) which will lager be used in their classroom. This lesson will be presented on the final session of the course.

There are many world language teachers who have not gone through traditional teacher preparation program and who will greatly benefit from the support this course will provide.
