TARGET AUDIENCE:: Reading & Literacy Certified Teachers

We are going to read the book, "Readicide", by Kelly Gallagher. The book will be provided by the Curriculum office and we will create an action plan as to how to carry the work forward with authentic reading and critical thinking.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES:

valuing the development of lifelong readers over the development of test-takers
focusing on authentic instruction
designing lessons that transfer the kind of thinking students are doing while reading to the kind of thinking we want them to do in the real world.
