- Castle View HS Teacher Leaders
- Description:
The goal of this course is to train teachers that are new to the SIMMS Integrates Math program and who will be teaching the SIMMS Intergrate Mat I & III Modules in the 2009 - 2010 school year.
The teachers will :
- become familiar with the scope and sequence of the math modules
- understand the philosophy of the small-group, inquire-based approaches to learning that the SIMMS curriculum uses
- have som training in the effective us of the small-group, inquire-bassed approaches
- understand the essential learnings for each module
- examin the advantages and challenges of the SIMMS curriculum
